Pastor Steve Tipton
A native Texan, Steve served four years in the United States Marine Corps as a rifleman, visiting such far off places as Vladivostok, Russia, Guam, Iwo Jima, and Korea. While in California, he met and married Catherine, the love of his life. They have two daughters, Ali and Meaghan. Following his enlistment and several years in telecommunications sales in Dallas, TX, Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from California State University at Fullerton. In obedience to God’s call in his life to pursue the pastoral ministry, Steve attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS, graduating with a Master of Divinity degree. Prior to Hillcrest, Steve served as a youth director and ministerial assistant at Christ Church, Presbyterian, in Evans, GA. He was installed as the Pastor of Hillcrest on September 26, 2010. In addition to a great love of for the works and study of John Calvin, Steve continues to pursue his passion for history and theology. When not reading, he loves to spend time with his family and with the members of Hillcrest Presbyterian Church.
